Deacon Orlowski was a beacon of hope, kindness, love, and gratitude to all who knew him. The Deacon of Hope organization was created in his honor and memory after a valiant battle with rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of pediatric cancer, when he passed on January 15, 2022. While his physical presence is no longer walking this earth, his spirit continues to shine brightly. 

One specific goal Deacon wanted to attain was to become a camp counselor. Through his experiences as a camper, he found mentors, created new friendships, and learned life skills while making fun memories. Deacon was a natural caregiver and a fierce friend, with a priority to being kind and generous. Along with these traits, the qualities of mentorship and leadership have always been core parts of his spirit and these traits are what he hoped to hone for the role of counselor.

This organization strives to continue that format by raising funds to support local youth with the ability to attend community activities and events that provide fun memories, social and physical activities with the ability to provide experiences that can help shape children's futures and grow into role model, leadership, and mentor relationships.
 
Deacon's goal in life was to spread kindness and love. Through these actions, he became and continues to be a beacon of hope and inspiration to his community. With the focus on providing local youth with the ability to attend these activities and receive scholarships for educational endeavors that can provide life skills that will transition into the success of careers and community members. 

Our goal is to continue to keep his light shining.
